Who we are.
City Highlights are a long established partnership of expert guides providing informed and entertaining tours of the station’s principal features set in an historical context, with up-to-date knowledge of current works and future plans.
About the tours.
Our tours explore the story of the station from its original design and construction in the mid 19th century, through its decline in the post Second World War period, to its modern re-birth as the new London Terminal for Eurostar and High Speed One in the early years of the present century.
Tours last approximately ninety minutes. They can be pre-booked for groups on any day that the station is open for travel. And we also provide a schedule of weekend walks for individuals and small groups on a Turn-up and Go basis – details and a list of forthcoming dates are shown below.
Pre-booked Group Tours.
If you wish to arrange a pre-booked group tour, or have any other queries, please contact us using the Booking and Enquiries from below.
We will then discuss your requirements and answer any questions you may have. Once everything is agreed, we will provide you the best meeting place for your tour, and the name and contact number of your guide(s).
Cost: With effect 1st January 2025, the guide price for a pre-booked group of up to ten persons is £145. Additional persons may be charged per head, to a guide price of £290 for a group of twenty persons.
[ Please note, for safety reasons the maximum group size allowed on the station is (20) persons – larger groups will require more than one guide.]
For group bookings we normally request that payment be made – by cheque or bank transfer – seven days before the tour date.
Turn-up and Go Tours.
We provide ‘turn-up and go’ tours at regular intervals through out the year. These tours are primarily for individuals and small groups who do not wish to a make an advance booking. However, as these tours are also restricted to a maximum of just (20) persons, if you have a group of five or more we do recommend you contact us in advance – using the Booking and Enquiries Form below – otherwise the twenty places available on the day will be allocated on a strictly ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Cost: With effect 1st January 2025, the cost for the tours is £12 per person. Payment to be made to the guide – in cash, please – on the day.
The meeting place for these tours is outside the National Rail Ticket Office on the ground floor of the station concourse, adjacent to the entrance to Thameslink. The precise location of the ticket office is also shown on the station map which can be found at: www.stpancras.com.

Are the tours wheel chair friendly ?
Yes, they can be made accessible for wheel-chair users, but please let us know in advance.
Can you arrange catering ?
We do not arrange catering but a full list of food and beverage outlets located within the station complex can be found at: www.stpancras.com.
